the college of music, Mahidol University

The College of music was established with an aim to produce music students of high quality and with a social conscience. All of the students are not only getting the highest education in wonderful facilities, but also have many opportunities to work with world class musicians, educators, and organizers. Such aims are reflected in all components that make up the college; the curriculum, buildings, and activities organized by the college, etc. From its establishment in 1995 to the present, the college has expanded, developed, and progressed in all aspects, from teaching quality, number of students, buildings, social and international missions. The college retains huge potentials for future expansion. We are proud that the College of Music provides the most dynamic, engaging, and comprehensive knowledge that the 21st century demands. Students who complete their education from the College of Music can go on to become accomplished musicians, conductors, composers, and educators. The college offers secondary school education, the pre-college, called young artist music program (YAMP), which is an international music boarding school, and tertiary programs at the bachelor, master and doctoral levels.

Realizing that the grandeur of material constructions does not necessarily reflect their true merits, the college thus values the intellectual and emotional nourishment of its students and personnel towards their goals and enables them to become a pillar of the music society and the country. The progress of the College of Music is proof of the development in the quality of all involved parties. The future of the College of Music is therefore not about the future of a music college, but about the future of a musical utopia in a borderless world.
