"Finding history in sound" event

The rich musical culture of bukhara, the capital of uzbekistan, includes classical and folk music, including two different types: Shashmaqom and Mavrigi. Bukhara ashmuqam is a kind of Muslim Maqamat, similar to the large instrumental and vocal suites of ancient European suites, with the traditional singing style as one of the most prominent features, becoming a local famous classical music.

The bukhara ashmuqam orchestra of uzbekistan, founded in 1991 within the bukhara state philharmonic association, is the guardian of the old bukhara singing tradition of muqam. The orchestra's first artistic leader was Ari Babakhanov (born 1934), a traditional bukhara musician who lives in Germany. The musicians of the orchestra have learned to master the entire repertoire of shashmuqam and have been very effective in discovering traditional singing styles.

To the sound of deep melodies, the bukhara ashmuqam orchestra began their musical exhibition in China. Two consecutive performances, full of the traditional music of central Asia :(1) the vocal part of Buzruk muqam. This section is called Moghulchai Bebokcha in uzbek. The lyrics are based on Mukhammas by Amiri. This is ghazal, a vocal variety in the Navoi style. (2) the vocal part of Buzruk muqam. This section is called Ufari Bebokcha in uzbek. The lyrics are based on Mukhammas by Amiri. This is ghazal, a vocal strain of the Fuzuli style.

Hosted by Ms. Anping, the Iranian band Javan introduced the dulcimer Santour performer Mehdi Siadat. Ahmad Shoarian, a Tar player; Singer Vahid Taj; Hasan Mekaniki, a naidi player, and Hamid Ghanbari, a Tombak player.

Formed in 1995 by Mohammad Ali Kianinejad (conductor and composer), an authority on Iran's music center, Javan has more than 30 performers, most of them winners of prestigious festivals and music students and graduates. The programs they brought to the concert were:
